This is an opportunity for a dynamic and creative professional to help deliver a pioneering volunteering programme at V&A East. They will be responsible for coordinating a programme that sits across both sites, helping to involve and maintain positive relationships with our core and new audiences and facilitate engagement with our programme and collection.

They will work with colleagues across the organisation to help deliver a programme that super-serves volunteers, and holds community, storytelling and the sharing of mutually enriching experience at its core. V&A East is all about breaking the mould, and the Volunteering Team will approach this workstream with a flexible, proactive and responsive mindset.

V&A East places access and making people feel welcome at the top of its priorities. The Volunteering Coordinator will work closely with the V&A East Volunteering Manager and the Front of House team to supervise volunteers and collaboratively provide exceptional visitor experiences. They will understand the importance of inclusive practice and will ideally have experience of volunteering or working with local communities, particularly those who have not had much previous experience of museums or cultural institutions.
