Front of House Assistant Job Meet & Greet – V&A South Kensington

Do you love connecting with people and working in a fast-paced environment? Are you comfortable working on your feet and do you get a kick out of making sure people have a great day? Are you interested in a career as a Front of House Assistant at the V&A South Kensington? If you love talking to people, we’d love to talk to you! We’ve created an opportunity to meet members of the V&A South Kensington Front of House team and learn more about the Front of House Assistant roles we have available at our onsite job Meet and Greet.

For these roles, we’ve changed our application process away from a written form to in an in person meet and greet day. If you’re interested in a role as a Front of House Assistant at V&A South Kensington, this is the only way we are currently hiring. Register your interest through a short form to attend our onsite in-person information day where you’ll get to engage with members of the team, hear more about the role and its responsibilities, and have a short 1-on-1 chat with a manager to explore your suitability for the role. We estimate we’ll need 1-2 hours of your time. Suitable attendees from the open day will then be invited back to a formal interview day at South Kensington on Thursday 22nd January. Please note that suitable candidates will need to be available to attend V&A South Kensington for both dates. If you are not available on these dates, please wait until our next opportunity where your availability aligns.

Please note that this process only applies to Front of House Assistant roles at South Kensington, no other roles or opportunities will be discussed on this day. Other roles must be applied for separately through the website where applicable. All current vacancies are listed on our website.

What you need to know:
We have a range of roles available in our front of house teams working across our shops, ticketing and information desks, and galleries. Part time and full time roles are available, but please note that all roles require some weekend working – there are no Mon – Fri only roles. Most roles require evening working until Friday 10pm on occasion. Bank holidays are worked on a rota basis. More information and examples of working rotas will be available on the day.

All roles involve being on your feet, proactively helping visitors, multi-tasking, teamwork and some light manual handling.
