We're looking for enthusiastic, communicative and reliable Floor Assistants to join our Front of House team at V&A East.

About the role

We are offering Full time and Part time vacancies across both V&A East sites (V&A East Museum and V&A East Storehouse). We are also looking to build a reserve list of potential candidates for future opportunities.

Floor Assistants work across all front-of-house functions, including in gallery spaces, retail, public programming, membership, ticketing, and events. They maintain an excellent standard of visitor care and safety, ensuring all visitors feel welcome, comfortable and included at our sites.

Floor Assistants champion V&A East’s values and represent the organisation as it establishes itself as a leading cultural hub. V&A East aims to provide a holistic welcome for our visitors. As such, this role broadly focuses on upholding the high standards of our visitor experience and visitor safety. We will provide excellent opportunities for training and experience as it is important for us to provide you with a career-enhancing skillset.

The working hours for these positions are Mon-Sun. Working hours will vary from 8.00-22:00. Weekend and evening work is required. Overtime opportunities may be available. For more information, please read the attached job description.

We are looking for proactive self-starters who can problem-solve, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team. Floor Assistants will be part of the wider Operations & Commercial team, contributing to the successful delivery of our excellent visitor welcome.

We are looking for applications from those living in, or with significant lived experience of, our surrounding boroughs (Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest) to help build V&A East for and by the local communities.
